Our team members have completed special training to become Fear-Free Certified Professionals and are continuously making efforts to improve their skills in recognizing and addressing fear, anxiety, and stress in our patients. Comprehensive Physical Examinations
From puppy and kitten years through the golden years, our team will be with you throughout every stage of your pet’s life. Our comprehensive physical exams are performed during wellness visits to ensure our team has a complete understanding of your pet’s health.
Wellness Screening
We recommend annual wellness exams to keep our patients feeling their best! During a wellness exam, we will discuss your pet’s medical history and all current concerns. Our doctors will conduct a full-body, head-to-tail exam to get to know your pet and their needs. We will be able to answer all of your questions, address your concerns, and create a wellness plan tailored specifically to your dog or cat.

Surgical Laser
Lasers have become an important veterinary tool for both surgery and pain management therapy. This technology uses a thin stream of very concentrated light to perform surgical procedures and has a variety of benefits. Family Pet Health is able to process a wide array of diagnostic laboratory tests with our in-house laboratory. This means we can provide faster, more accurate results to our diagnostic tests. The faster we diagnose our patients, the faster they can begin their path to recovery.
Digital Radiography
There have been many advancements in digital x-ray technology, and we can now manipulate the digital images that we take. This allows us to diagnose issues that may not be seen on a traditional x-ray. Because the x-rays are digital, we can also easily share the images with specialists or other veterinarians we may consult for more difficult cases.
Dentistry
According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, 70% of adult cats and 80% of adult dogs show symptoms of oral disease? Don’t let your pets become part of this statistic!
Just as it’s important for you to see a dentist regularly, it’s important for dogs and cats as well. Your pet’s oral health is directly connected to their overall health. Signs of dental disease include bad breath, loose, broken or missing teeth, yellow or brown teeth, red, inflamed or bleeding gums, difficulty or pain when chewing, pawing at the mouth, and excessive drooling. Lacerations & Abscess Treatment
Family Pet Health is a well-trained team in laceration and abscess treatment. We use only the best wound care procedures to ensure proper healing with minimal risk of infection and further trauma. Sometimes, a wound will require staples or stitches to be closed.
It’s important to bring your pets in immediately after a laceration so we may properly clean the wound and avoid any bacteria from entering.
Behavioral Counseling & Treatment
A poorly behaved pet can drive a wedge in your peaceful daily life. If you have questions or behavior issues, we’re here to help you address and correct them so you and your companions can continue a life full of good behavior.

Senior Health Care & Diagnostics
Pets are living longer and longer and have often seen us through important milestones in our lives. As they grow older we owe it to them to make sure that the quality of their life is as good as it can be. Most cats are considered seniors after the age of 8 and dogs can vary by breed but usually become seniors between the age of 7 for Giant Breed dogs to age 8 for toy dogs.
Ultrasound
Ultrasonography is a type of diagnostic technique that uses ultrasound waves to produce an imaging study. This means that when we perform ultrasonography, we can see internal images of the patient’s body. Ultrasonography is a completely non-invasive, painless way to diagnose and evaluate many common diseases. Ultrasounds also allow us to look at the architecture of internal organs and examine location, size, shape, texture and blood supply.
Allergy Testing and Treatment
Allergies are a chronic disease that can affect many pets and indirectly their owners. There are many treatment options including medications to cover up allergy symptoms, such as antihistamines and steroids. An alternative to these medications is allergy specific immunotherapy or sublingual immunotherapy, which alters the body’s immune system, and makes it more tolerant to any offending pollens or allergens.
